The average tax payers inquires about a refund almost immediately after their refund was approved. Who wouldn’t want to know when money owed to them will be deposited into their bank account? I know I would.

While the IRS states that e-filing a return, provides a much quicker route to receive a refund, the rule of thumb is between four and six weeks. If you do not see a refund by the end of that six weeks, reaching out to your tax preparer may be a good idea.

As society grows to be more in-tune with technologies and the use of AI, the IRS has begun implementing online tools to better assist the tax payer and to keep up with digital times. The IRS launched a where’s my refund tool that any tax payer can access.
